What advice would you give to someone who might read this?
Love Black people like you love Black culture
What do you love about being Black?
Despite enslavement and continued hatred towards us, Black people are still here, still surviving, still thriving. I love our ability to find joy and humor in just about any situation, despite being the most hated ethnic group in the entire world. I love the innate non-verbal cues we have with one other, where a single look between us can convey an entire conversation. Even if I had a choice, I would still choose to be Black. As my Facebook header says 'I love being Black. Shit kinda dangerous, but it's lit'.
