Managing Director, PK12 Strategy & Impact
Liz Bergeron joins the National Equity Project with a commitment to helping people and organizations transform systems to better serve students and communities. She brings more than 20 years of experience across public schools, education nonprofits, higher education, and international education, with a focus on building strategies grounded in the voices of those most impacted.
Prior to joining NEP, Liz served as Managing Director of Strategy and Research at New Tech Network, a national network of more than 350 schools. In that role, she helped connect vision, evidence, and implementation across organizational strategy, impact, service, and continuous learning. Liz previously served as Global Impact Research Manager at the International Baccalaureate, working with schools in the U.S. and internationally, and as a faculty member at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
Liz began her career as a middle school math and science teacher and continues to teach graduate courses for educators at Northeastern University. She is a 2025 Fellow through the Riley Institute’s Diversity Leaders Initiative at Furman University and brings to NEP a belief that the best strategies are built with people, not just for them. Liz earned her Ph.D. from George Mason University and lives in Charlotte, North Carolina.
