Ferchil Ramos joined the National Equity Project in 2026, bringing a deep belief that narrative is a fundamental tool for liberation and systemic redesign. Born by the rice terraces of Baguio, Philippines, and raised in Bay Terraces, Southeast San Diego, his dedication to social justice is rooted in his experience as an immigrant in these communities. This fuels his understanding of how systemic inequalities can be reimagined to foster true equity and belonging. His purpose is to utilize the inherent gifts given by his ancestors to tap into collective creativity and make the communities we inhabit a better place to exist.
For over a decade, Ferchil has worked at the intersection of digital strategy and social equity, specializing in translating complex policy into human-centered stories that mobilize communities. From leading digital advocacy at the ACLU of San Diego and Imperial Counties to amplifying national visions of equity at PolicyLink, his work centers on narrative as a catalyst for reimagining current systems. Furthering his commitment to the next generation, he founded Sound Future – a nonprofit that creates pathways into the creative economy for under-resourced youth. He is honored to contribute his expertise to the collective pursuit of a more just and equitable future.
